UNVEILING THE GREATHOUSE MANDATE CHURCH
Background

Late 2010, when I was getting close to my 25 years in youth ministry (Ten years part-time and fifteen years full-time) I started sensing a nudging in my spirit for a new phase of ministry, but never knew exactly the shape or dimension the new phase would take, so I promptly mobilized some of my youths to join me in seeking the face of God in prayers for a clear direction.

We prayed for about 9 months, before the GreatHouse mandate was delivered. To be precise, it was on the 18th June, 2011, while coming back from a mission trip to Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara state, that the Lord inspired me with the vision, "Great God! Great Love! Great People! That our Great God is in the Great House, using the instrument of great love to raise for Himself a great people."

I personally took time out to do a word study to be sure it was God who inspired me. The word search gave me a biblical foundation or premise on which to anchor my faith for the new phase. No doubt, divine assignments or ministries are unveiled in phases. All one needs is sensitivity to God's leading, and to what He is saying per time. I am privileged to be current with Him, to know what He is saying to me for now.
The ministry the Lord gave His disciples started in Jerusalem, (targeting just the Jews at a time) before the same ministry moved progressively to Samaria and the whole world ( the Gentile phase of ministry ) Jesus said, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Jesus teaching about growth of assignments in Mark 4:28-29 said, "For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come."
The Lord impressed on my heart that our involvement in youth work over the years was only a "blade level" and that He is taking us to our "ear level", a phase where ALL PEOPLE shall benefit from His grace upon our ministry.

He also made me see how David was promoted from one phase or level of assignment to another. At a time, David was just a shepherd boy tending his Father's sheep. God found him faithful and anointed him king. But for 7 years he ruled as a king of the tribe of Judah in Hebron before being made the king over the 12 tribes of Israel. Just like David progressed from one phase of assignment to another, God, having seen our faithfulness, focus and commitment to young people, is now enlarging our coast of assignment to be a blessing to ALL PEOPLE.
"Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
Isaiah54:2-3

Of a truth God has been faithful to us at our "blade level". We have been greatly blessed by God in several ways; we have testimonies of changed lives, great outreaches to secondary schools and campuses, amazing financial blessings despite dealing with youths who are majorly dependent on us. Ydi young folks of yesterday have become vibrant adults of today. Many are happily married with their own families. Last year at Camp Joseph we had specialized time out for married ones. We had two pregnant ladies in the camp! No doubt, God who showed Himself mighty in Ydi, will show Himself stronger and mightier in the Great House Mandate with greater proofs. It is God that gives increase to His work, we believe that an increase is about to be made manifest, because the "ear level" is the multitude level. It is the season of harvest for us.

GreatHouse vis -a- vis Ydi

We are not abandoning Ydi! This new phase is only complimentary to Ydi. It is not in any way meant to erode the exploits or gains of our ministry to young people. No! We are still committed to taking the ministry of Ydi to higher levels. Ydi shall still be run the way it is, being relevant to christians and non christians alike. While the GreatHouse as a church platform shall seek to cater more for the spiritual needs of our converts who hitherto had no church family for proper discipleship. Our various leadership structures are still in place. For instance, our outreach team to campuses is up and doing; programs are being lined up for me in April and May even after the inauguration of the GreatHouse. Our fellows council (group of successor leaders in Ydi) has been mandated to directly oversee Ydi chapters. The MG1000, (the group of successor millionaires in Ydi) is busy raising sponsors for our scholarship fund and other projects.

The great commandment is all about loving God and humanity! We are committed to raising God-lovers. We shall also teach members how to experience and share God’s love to fellow brethren and others outside the church walls by attending to their welfare needs.

Greatness in life is not by human ability or efforts, but by His Spirit. We are committed to helping members embrace the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Conclusion

No doubt, as a Ydi partner, fellow or associate, you have been my "Barnabas" over the years! Who is a Barnabas? A Barnabas is a value adder, a lifter of people, an encourager. Barnabas believed in Paul before any other person did. It is easy to support something after other people have given their endorsement. Many of you were the first to endorse and support us when Ydi started. All you saw then was just potential, i.e. what God could do through His earthen vessels like us to make impact in the world of young people. The potential in a seed is the harvest which is not yet evident for all to see. It is only people who have an understanding of the capacity of the seed that will go ahead to plant the seed. Thank you for believing in us and joining hands with us to make a difference. Barnabas invested in Paul to become the best, you also invested in Us to make Ydi an outstanding youth ministry that it is today.

I am praying, and trusting God to empower all of us He has used in Ydi over the years to do more for Him via the platform of the GreatHouse Mandate Church. Together, God helping us as always, we shall work toward making the GreatHouse a purpose fulfilling church family. I am not out to make a name or create an empire for myself. No! I am only out to do His will for my life, and by extension help others fulfill their destinies in God.

"Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him."
John 7:16-18
Through your involvement in Ydi over the years you must have known me to a large extent, that I am only out to promote the interest of the Father, and not my own. He who speaks of himself or seeks his own interest is in pursuit of self glory which is unrighteousness but he who seeks the interest of the Father is righteous. He is a man of integrity. With all sense of responsibility and modesty I am a man of integrity, I will not do anything that He has not commanded. I will not take advantage of any member for personal gain. God who has helped me maintain a measure of integrity for 25 years of youth ministry will Help me maintain higher level of integrity in the GreatHouse assignments.

Sincerely, I covet your good will, endorsement, support and prayers even as a new phase is being unveiled today. In the GreatHouse, we shall consciously and deliberately reserve all the honor, glory and applause to God for all that He only will do for us and through us. May the Lord God reward you even as you join us again to make eternal impact in families, communities and nations. Amen!
